In Tenka City, a series of unsolved kidnappings targeting women has left the citizens in fear. One day after school, Akari Hoshino is attacked by a mysterious monster called “Spelman,” and as an ordinary girl, she is powerless against its overwhelming force.
Just when all seems lost, a mysterious voice grants Akari the ability to transform into a “Stellakyrie,” a magical girl with the power of light. Armed with her new strength, she resolves to protect the city and fight against the villains threatening its peace.
