Nice to meet you dear F95-ers, My name is Mr Jak.
I've been lurking on this forum incognito for a while now.
I've spent countless hours here or thanks to you in games. I decided to take the plunge and create one myself.

I can't draw. I can't code. What do I do?

I've been wanting to do this for three or four months now. Knowing nothing about programming or Ren'py, it took me about two months to get my act together. I started this adventure two months ago. It hasn't been easy every day. But damn, it was more exhilarating than delivering food for Uber.
I'm quite a perfectionist, so I'll always find it crap. But in reality, knowing where I started from, one evening, after a few beers, I launched the game.. ..and I said to myself "Damn asshole, it's not that bad"

If you want to know how I create my visuals:
I use :

- Virt A Mate (if you don't know VAM, go for it, it's crazy)

By the way, it's very important to note that I use Assets/Scenes etc.. created by other people on Virt A Mate that I bought or that are free. I tried to contact the creators of these contents as much as possible to get their permission. I must have forgotten some, if they recognize themselves here and don't want me to use them or want me to credit them or whatever, please contact me and I apologize in advance.

"Inspirations" / theft :

I'm not going to list here all the games I liked and where I studied their Ren'py scripts. But I'm going to mention two because I shamelessly copied their codes and/or ideas: - Harem Hotel on the one hand for the "RPG" aspect and on the other hand to copy, understand, and use the variables. (I really appreciated the message in the script for people like me.) - Snowdaze, from whom I shamelessly stole the way of moving characters forward and backward if they are speaking or not.

It took me a while to find the work method. Now I'm experienced. The thing is, with this routine, I can create whatever I want in reality, "Ultra fast" There are no rendering hours or anything like that. My, or even your imagination is the only limit, because yes, I would like to have ideas if you have any, even though I already have my story in mind. I'm open to everything.

As you may have noticed, English is not my first language, so eventually I would like to pay a translator. This first version is more of a demo, I wanted to show the possibilities, I'll hold your hand less on the next updates but I don't want excessive grinding.
