The story is set in San Martino, a fictional city on a fictional U.S. island—a city experiencing unstoppable growth, like a Western Dubai. San Martino has established itself as one of the most important global centers for corporate finance, fashion, cinema (including its own local film industry), adult entertainment, luxury, and tourism. This city perfectly embodies the ultimate reflection of the power of wealth and influence, as everything in San Martino revolves around money, power, and sex. As player progress, he will be able to mingle with movie stars, models, influential figures, and form all kinds of relationships with beautiful women; buying new homes; investing, among other things.

In this context, you’ll play as an African-American ex-boxer who had to abandon professional sports due to a severe injury, forcing him to redirect his life. You eventually find yourself in finance, where, after a successful career at one of the city’s leading firms, Walter & Rockford—San Martino’s largest financial services entity and one of the most promising globally—you are recruited to help reverse the company’s recent downward spiral.

How will you handle life in San Martino? Will the city devour you, or will you rise to the top and conquer it? On your path to success, will you make enemies and exploit others, or will you remain a clean and ethical success story?
SpoilerSan Martino Vice is a visual novel designed to give players the utmost freedom within the linear framework typical of any VN, but enhanced with Free Roam, Point & Click, and some sandbox and simulator elements. While there is a significant underlying story, as the game develops, the aim is to provide you with an entire world at your disposal, where you decide what to do and how to succeed. You’ll shape how your character is interpreted: you can be a good person or a psychopath; take advantage of others or show kindness; be charming or hostile. You’ll be able to use money to fulfill your desires and goals, purchasing anything from cars and houses to entertainment. You can choose to be loyal to a partner or engage in multiple romances, affairs or girlfriends, cheat, or even persuade your partners to explore swinging. You’ll have the option to flirt with your charisma or resort to less conventional and morally questionable methods, like blackmail or sexual harassment. Moreover, all sexual content and most secondary activities will be avoidable.
